So that’s what Aurum Tokens are for

So, the Christmas 2011 gifts were handed out, and it turns out that the 2000 Aurum gift is in the form of two Aurum tokens, first discovered in the pre-Crucible data dump.

This is a nice touch, since for the first time, players can actually trade Aurum.

Here’s hoping players can soon redeem more tokens from their existing Aurum totals.

Interesting. Is it still the case that if you want something from the vantiy store, it is cheaper to convert PLEX into ISK and buy it on the market, than to convert a PLEX into Aurum and buy it directly?

Oh, definitely. I believe the white rose conventicle has a full analysis on their site.

I don’t recalled visiting that site before – interesting article. At the moment the EVE player’s market values AURUM at around 11,645 ISK each. To convert them officially via a PLEX, CCP values them at 133,585K. That is an amazing difference. The price difference doesn’t look as horrendous once the items Aurum value increases above the free AURUM which CCP gave away, but it is still 50% discounted or more. Wow…

Just had someone ask about this in help chat. Thanks for the info.
